Author Donna Raheb was born and raised in rural northeastern
Connecticut where she loved to explore the wildlife outdoors. Her passion for nature took her to the hills of upstate
New York, where Donna studied at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. As a junior
in college, Donna created her Henrietta Ham cartoon character for a television advertising class. She graduated
magna cum laude from Newhouse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Producing for the Electronic Media. Donna
worked in the television and computer industries after college while operating her sound and video production company,
D Rae Sound & Video. A cancer diagnosis prompted her to follow her heart with her desire to write.
Feeling an obligation to stress the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, Donna created the Treasure Your Youth® slogan to coincide with her
children's book, The Adventures of Henrietta Ham: Meet Henrietta. Still an outdoor adventure enthusiast, Donna enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities, from cycling and hiking to
canoeing and backpacking, and almost anything that involves exploration in nature. And she still enjoys
playing in the dirt with all of the creatures in her vegetable garden. Now a breast cancer survivor and creator
of the Treasure Your Youth® apparel,
the author is pleased to bring you The Adventures of Henrietta Ham for all children -- and adults -- to enjoy. The author is also pleased to announce the publication of her 2nd
Henrietta Ham story, The Adventures of Henrietta Ham: Gone Fishing, released in October 2008!
